Welcome to our second blog in a series of three, where we’re going to tell all about the fabulous wedding breakfast held at The Woodlands Hothorpe Hall. We’re Kara Mia Venue Stylists, and together with the creative minds at Electric Joy Ceremonies, we cooked up something truly special for this sustainable shindig.
Photography brilliantly captured by Bristbro Productions
Imagine this: nestled snugly in the countryside, The Woodlands Hothorpe Hall is like something out of a fairytale. We wanted to keep things real, so we went for a rustic, sustainable vibe with a touch of elegance.
This contemporary indoor space is versatile and can be used for any type of wedding. Modern and sleek in design the panelled wood exterior enables the building to easily blend into its forest surroundings.
As guests strolled into the main venue, they were greeted with tables decked out in seagrass charger plates and forest green napkins tied up in cute little bows. Our stunning heart candle holders were bespoke and crafted out of copper, with pink and orange candles that added a cosy glow to the room.
Now, let’s talk about the spread. We laid out a feast fit for royalty on tables dressed up with forest green cheesecloth runners and fancy coloured glassware.
And those flowers from Ashton Flowers? Absolutely breathtaking! They brought the whole woodland scene to life with their gorgeous bud vase arrangements that also included feathers.
And of course, what’s a wedding without confetti? Shropshire Petals hooked us up with the real deal, sprinkled right on top of our cheesecloth runners for that extra pop of colour.
But wait, the real showstopper was the cake. Shirley Rae’s created this masterpiece that looked like it was plucked straight from the forest floor, complete with delicate blooms by Ashton Flowers, it was almost too pretty to eat.
Nestled on our copper and reclaimed slate cake stand, a perfect mix of industrial and natural.

Do you know what made it all even more special? The handmade guestbook by Penny Lemonn Books and those beautiful wedding favours that our guests couldn’t get enough of.
Stay tuned for more tales from our sustainable wedding wonderland, where every detail has a story to tell, and every moment is a celebration of the good stuff.
Cheers to love and good times!
