How Much Does Wedding Styling and Flowers Cost?

Trying to work out what to spend on wedding styling and flowers can feel a bit vague at the start. You might know you want your venue to look beautiful, but not yet know whether your budget should go on ceremony flowers, table styling, a backdrop, draping, your bouquet or all of the above.

The right answer is not about adding as much as possible. It is about choosing the parts of the day that will change how your venue feels and making them work together.

At Kara Mia, our peak-season minimum spend for on the day wedding styling is £2,000. From there, the overall cost depends on the size of your wedding, your venue, the type of flowers you choose and how much you would like us to transform.

All prices in this guide are correct as of 2026. Flower costs and availability can change with the seasons, and every wedding is quoted individually around your plans.

A £2,000 styling budget

A budget of around £2,000 is a great starting point for couples who want their ceremony and reception to feel considered and connected.

Rather than spreading the budget too thinly across every possible detail, we would usually focus on the areas that give you the most visual impact. That could be chair styling along the aisle, silk floral centrepieces, lanterns and candlelight for your tables, runners, welcome signage and a beautiful ceremony focal point.

For example, you may choose an arch or backdrop to frame your ceremony, then have it moved afterwards to sit behind your top table. This gives you one statement piece that works hard across the day, rather than something guests only see for half an hour.

This level is ideal if you want a complete feel without needing a full room transformation.

Fresh calla lilly brides bouquet

A £3,000 to £4,000 budget

At this level, there is room to bring fresh flowers into the design, especially for the parts of the day that will feel most personal to you.

You might have a fresh bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes alongside venue styling that uses silk flowers, candles and carefully chosen table details. You could also include a ceremony feature, chair styling and centrepieces for a more layered look across both spaces.

This is often where couples find the balance that works best for them. Fresh flowers bring that natural detail and texture to the bouquet you carry and the photographs that matter most, while silk flowers can be used in larger pieces to create fullness without putting all of the budget into flowers alone.

For a 70 to 80 guest wedding, this could look like a styled ceremony, table centrepieces, candles, signage, fresh personal flowers and a statement feature that can be used in more than one part of the day.

A £5,000 to £6,000 budget

A budget in this range allows the flowers and styling to become a much bigger part of how your wedding looks and feels.

You may choose fresh flowers across your tables and top table, a fuller ceremony design, personal flowers, layered linens and place settings, signage and a statement installation. This could be a floral arch, moongate, backdrop or an entrance piece that gives guests that first impression as they arrive.

It also gives us more scope to think about the whole journey through your venue. The ceremony can flow into the wedding breakfast, your colour palette can carry through the tables and your flowers can be placed in the spaces that will feel most special in photographs and on the day itself.

This is a good starting point for couples who want their wedding to feel fully designed rather than styled in separate parts.

For fuller venue transformations

For weddings with ceiling draping, large-scale fresh floral installations, lots of guest tables or multiple rooms to style, budgets can move beyond £6,000.

A larger barn or ballroom may need more than one focal point to feel complete. You may want ceiling draping to soften the entire space, a statement ceremony installation, fresh flowers on every table, a long and low top table design, an entrance moment and table styling with candles, charger plates and linen.

These weddings are not necessarily about having more for the sake of it. They are about working with the scale of the venue and creating a consistent feeling from the moment guests arrive until the last part of the evening.

What makes the biggest difference to the cost?

The size of your guest list and the number of tables are important, but they are not the only things that affect the budget.

Fresh flower choices can make a difference, particularly if you are drawn to premium blooms, out-of-season varieties or designs that need a large volume of flowers. Statement pieces, ceiling draping and difficult access can also affect the overall cost, as can the number of rooms you would like styled.

The best place to begin is with the feeling you want to create and the areas that matter most to you. A beautiful entrance, a ceremony space that feels personal and tables that make guests stop when they walk in can have far more impact than trying to add a small detail everywhere.

What if you only need personal flowers?

Personal flower collections are also available on selected dates, with smaller orders starting from around £500.

A bridal bouquet starts from around £150, bridesmaid bouquets from around £35 and buttonholes from around £15. This is a separate option for couples who are not looking for venue styling but would still like beautiful flowers for their wedding party.
