An Intimate Ivory and Chocolate Brown Wedding at Hampton Manor

April and Jake’s intimate wedding was filled with beautiful textures, thoughtful details and styling that felt completely personal to them.
As their Hampton Manor wedding florist and stylist, we brought their ivory and deep chocolate brown palette to life through modern fresh flowers, opulent fabric installations, candlelight and bespoke handmade details.
Their wedding was intimate in size but certainly not in impact. From the modern ceremony backdrop to the layered guest tables, sweetheart table and carefully styled sweet display, every part of the setting had been considered.

Modern Wedding Ceremony Styling at Hampton Manor
The ceremony centred around a bespoke ivory fabric installation, designed to create movement, softness and a modern focal point behind April and Jake.
Fresh flowers framed the fabric backdrop, including Playa Blanca roses, orchids, anthuriums, lisianthus and hydrangeas. Deep brown floral details were placed amongst the ivory flowers, bringing warmth and depth to the arrangement while connecting it to the wider chocolate brown wedding palette.
The mix of sculptural orchids and anthuriums with softer roses, lisianthus and hydrangeas created a contemporary floral design that still felt beautifully romantic.
We continued the fabric styling across the registrar table with a waterfall of ivory satin, creating a soft, flowing finish through the ceremony setting.
For April, seeing the finished backdrop became part of one of her favourite moments of the day:
“My favourite part of the day was definitely walking down the aisle, seeing Jake standing there with the beautiful backdrop. It’s a moment you can’t imagine until you are there.”
Your ceremony backdrop is not simply something that appears behind you in the photographs. It frames the moment you first see one another and becomes part of a memory you will always connect with your wedding day.

Ivory and Chocolate Brown Wedding Styling
April and Jake chose a rich palette of ivory and deep chocolate brown.
The chocolate brown brought warmth and contrast to the design, while the ivory flowers, fabric and candlelight kept the overall look soft and refined.
The guest tables were layered with opulent fabrics and hand-dyed table runners, complemented by glass beaded charger plates that caught the candlelight beautifully.
The candle holders were adorned with handmade ivory and dark brown bows, while bespoke fabric bows and rosettes were added to the ends of the guest tables and the sweetheart table.
These details gave the room personality without making the tables feel overcrowded. The result was warm, intimate and full of texture.

Making the Most of the Ceremony Flowers
After the ceremony, we carefully moved the fresh floral arrangements onto the guest tables so April and Jake could continue enjoying them throughout the wedding breakfast.
Repurposing ceremony flowers is a brilliant way to make more of your floristry investment, but their second placement needs to be considered before the wedding day.
When planning arrangements that will be moved, we think about their height, shape and mechanics in both settings. This means they can frame the ceremony beautifully and still sit comfortably on the guest tables without interrupting conversation or looking as though they have simply been placed there afterwards.
Because we were responsible for both the wedding flowers and styling, we could plan the two settings together from the beginning.

Bespoke Fabric Installations for the Cake and Sweet Tables
The cake table and sweet table each featured their own bespoke fabric installation.
The layered ivory fabric created softness and movement around each display, making them feel like a considered part of the room rather than separate tables placed around its edges.
April sourced the beautiful crystal glassware used on the sweet table herself. The different shapes of the glass added interest to the display, while the crystal caught the light against the softly gathered fabric.
It was personal, elegant and completely suited to the rest of the wedding.

Modern Ivory Bridal Flowers
April’s bridal bouquet was entirely ivory, with a modern, sculptural and editorial shape.
It featured white hydrangea, orchids, Playa Blanca roses and anthuriums. The hydrangea and roses brought softness and fullness, while the orchids and anthuriums gave the bouquet cleaner lines and a more contemporary finish.
Although the ceremony and reception flowers included deep brown floral details, April’s bouquet remained completely ivory.
Jake wore a single orchid buttonhole, creating a subtle connection to April’s flowers.
The bridesmaids carried elegant calla lilies finished with long, trailing dark brown ribbon. The clean shape of the calla lilies allowed the ribbon to become an important feature and link their bouquets back to the chocolate brown styling throughout the wedding.

April’s Advice for Couples Planning Their Wedding
April shared some honest advice for other couples planning their day:
“For me, and in my opinion, it is worth the money to get a stylist and not DIY things yourself. I only DIYed two things and that was stressful enough!
“Don’t get too in your head with trends. Pick what colour and style of wedding you want and stick with it. There will be trends that come after you have picked, but pick what you like!
“Entertainment is key to a wedding. Budget more for entertainment.
“The day goes so fast. If I could change one thing, I would have booked to stay another night at the venue because you really do miss just enjoying the venue itself.”
Although April did not want to take on lots of DIY, she found some beautiful additions for the day herself.
Alongside the crystal glassware for the sweet table, April sourced the individual stone guest names used at each place setting. They introduced a natural, tactile texture to the tables and worked beautifully with the softer fabrics, fresh flowers and glass charger plates.
Choosing a wedding stylist does not mean you cannot find or create some of your own details.
We can incorporate the pieces that matter to you and make sure they connect with the rest of the styling. By knowing what April was bringing beforehand, we could consider the textures, colours and placement of her additions as part of the overall design.
Her own finds still received their moment, but they did not feel separate from the rest of the room.
Her advice about trends is important too. New colours and ideas will always appear while you are planning, but the most personal weddings come from choosing what genuinely feels right for you both and trusting those choices.
